My First Typhoon

I have experienced 70 mph winds, close to a typhoon! I loved and was amazed at being inside a tropical storm. I have never been inside anything stronger than a thunderstorm and was quite excited. I have always been interested in weather like this, but now I am experiencing it.

The wind was amazingly powerful. If it was any stronger, branches would probably be falling and tiles would be peeling off roofs! My dad said that the wind speed was 65-70 mph.

There was so much rain everywhere that you could continuously hear pit-pat on the windows as the rain pelted down. Wow! What a storm!

We were reasonably close to the storm. It was about 50 miles away. I was nervous (being nervous is half excited and half scared.) The worst danger was trees falling on us. The next most plausible danger was the tiles on roofs peeling off. The next danger was flooding. But, even some of the biggest danger had a very small chance of happening.

It was my first time, so I was very excited. I loved being in an actual, powerful typhoon. My experience felt amazing to me. I would love to do it again.
